Mental Health First Aid Training in Edinburgh
An hour along the M8 from our Glasgow base, and a city we train in regularly.
We deliver accredited workplace mental health training on site for organisations across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Every course is led by a practising therapist, so your people learn from someone who does this work every week.
Training at your workplace in Edinburgh
We come to you. Training on site means your team learns together, in the place where they actually work, with less time away from the job.
One team or several
We can run a single course for one team, or several sessions across a day or a week so cover is easier to arrange.
In person or online
Most Edinburgh clients choose in person. If your people are spread across Scotland, we can run the same course online.
Linked to your policies
We can connect the training to your own wellbeing policy, EAP and occupational health, so people know exactly where to turn.
Two days of training in Edinburgh

We trained a group from a multinational organisation in a safety critical industry over two days in Edinburgh, alongside a second group at their offices in Norway. The focus was giving people the confidence to notice when a colleague is not themselves, and to start that conversation.
The results to date have been excellent, and we would be very happy to recommend Andy and Piece of Mind to other organisations looking for a trusted, consultative partner in this space.

Common questions from Edinburgh employers
Do you come to our workplace in Edinburgh?
Yes. We deliver on site across Edinburgh and the Lothians. All we need is a room with space for the group and a screen.
How many people can attend one course?
Our half day course takes up to 16 people. For larger teams we run more than one session, often on the same day or across a week.
Is the training accredited?
Yes. Our Level 1, 2 and 3 courses are credit rated and recognised by Qualifications Scotland, with levels that are equivalent to the RQF in England. Delegates are assessed through role play scenarios, case studies and a multiple choice and short answer assessment, so their certificate shows they achieved the standard, not just that they attended. The certificate lasts three years.
How much does training cost in Edinburgh?
Prices start at £995 for a half day course for up to 12 people, or £1,250 for up to 16. Book a free call and we will give you an exact price for your team, including any travel. See our guide to mental health first aid training costs for what should be included.
Can the training be delivered online?
Yes. Every course can run online, which suits teams split between Edinburgh and other offices.
Can the training be done online?
Yes. Every level can be delivered fully online or fully in person. We do not mix the two, with some people in the room and others on screen, because neither group gets the experience they need.
Which level does our team need?
Anyone can take any level. The right one depends on the role someone will take on and how your organisation wants to use them, not on how senior they are. People can start at Level 1 and move up. If you are not sure, book a free call and we will work it out with you.
Do you run refresher training?
Yes. The certificate lasts three years, and we strongly recommend a short refresher every year so the skills stay fresh. We can run refresher training for your first aiders.
