Mental Health First Aid Training Online

The same accredited qualification as our classroom courses, delivered live online by a practising therapist.

For teams spread across sites, working from home or based anywhere in the UK. Everyone joins together online, so nobody is the odd one out on a screen at the back of a room.

How online training works

Fully online, never half and half

Every level can be delivered fully online or fully in person. We never mix the two in one session, with some people in a room and others on a screen, because it does not give either group the experience they need.

Online courses are live and led by a trainer in real time. People talk, practise and ask questions, just as they would in a classroom.

The same qualification

Credit rated and recognised by Qualifications Scotland, with levels that are equivalent to the RQF in England. The certificate lasts three years, whichever way you train.

The same assessment

Role play scenarios, case study scenarios worked through as a group, and a multiple choice and short answer assessment.

Built for spread out teams

Ideal when your people work from home, across several sites, or in different parts of the UK.

Support afterwards

Everyone gets access to our learning app and online resources for the full three years their certificate lasts.

Why Piece of Mind

Practical training from people who do the work

Practising therapists

Our trainers work with anxiety, trauma and depression in the therapy room every week. That is what lets them handle whatever comes up in a session.

Scotland, UK and beyond

We are based in Glasgow and deliver across Scotland and the UK, and have trained teams overseas, with the same trainers and the same standard everywhere.

Support that carries on

Every course includes the Reach Out app, so your people have practical guidance to hand long after the training day.

Questions

Online mental health first aid training: your questions answered

Can you do mental health first aid training online?

Yes. All three levels of our First Aid for Mental Health training can be delivered fully online, live and led by a trainer in real time.

Is the online course the same qualification?

Yes. It is the same qualification as our classroom courses: credit rated and recognised by Qualifications Scotland, with levels that are equivalent to the RQF in England. The certificate lasts three years.

How are people assessed online?

The same way as in the classroom: role play scenarios, case study scenarios worked through as a group, and a multiple choice and short answer assessment.

Can some people join online while others are in the room?

No. We deliver each course either fully online or fully in person, never a mix. Splitting a group between a room and a screen does not give either group the experience they need.

Who is online training best for?

Teams who work from home, across several sites, or in different parts of the UK. If your people are all in one place, in person training at your workplace is often the better choice.

How much does online mental health first aid training cost?

For a group, Level 1 starts from £995, Level 2 from £1,795 and Level 3 from £2,495. Prices include VAT and cover the whole group, not each person.
