Hypnotherapy Training – New Career; New Life

When you wake up in the morning, how do you feel? Groggy and unrested? Full of dread for the day ahead? Unfulfilled and fed up? If this sounds like you, I’ll bet that your career isn’t giving you the buzz you need to feel excitement and anticipation for each working day. What can you do though, eh? Once you’ve been in a role long enough, you can’t exactly jump ship and retrain for a career that is rewarding… Or can you?

Taking The Leap

As you consider a career change, ‘taking the leap’ might feel more like walking the plank than spectacularly diving into an exciting new world Tom Daley style. You’ll probably go back and forth between wanting to stay in your safe, but boring and predictable job and deciding to change your life forever, because risk is scary; Trust me, I know!

After I had received hypnotherapy for my own anxieties, I knew that I needed to share this magic with others by receiving hypnotherapy training myself. I felt an intense desire to help others out of the hole that I had been trapped in for so long. Of course, doubts about training in hypnotherapy lingered in the back of my mind –

“What if I’m no good as a hypnotherapist?”

“What if clients don’t want to see me?”

“What if I can’t cope with the emotional toll of supporting others?”

However, my recovery from life-limiting anxiety had taught me that in order to succeed, I must take the first step… And the second, third and every single subsequent step until I was striding with confidence. Instead of allowing my doubts to control my thoughts, I changed my pattern of thinking –

“What if I’m an amazing hypnotherapist?”

“What if I have so many clients needing support that I need to build an army of therapists to treat them?”

“What if supporting others is the most fulfilling thing I could do in life?”

I’m not saying that taking the leap wasn’t frightening, but as I held my breath and waited for the splash, I felt filled with excitement and anticipation for all the lives I would come to impact upon. https://piece-of-mind.co.uk/hypnotherapy-training/

Old Dogs CAN Learn New Tricks

Whether you’re looking to work full time, part time or even just learn some life skills, Piece of Mind Hypnotherapy Training can teach you all the new tricks you need. Personally, I completed my hypnotherapy training when I was well over the age of 21 and this old dog learnt more about life and about myself in the months I took to retrain than I did in the many (many, many) years before that.

Hypnotherapy Training Scotland

Feeling Overwhelmed With Options?

A quick Google search reveals thousands of entries advertising hypnotherapy training courses. When you’re looking to start a new venture, this overload of information can be overwhelming and leave you feeling less certain of which path to take.

At Piece of Mind, I don’t want you to settle for overpriced waffle that gives you no clear path to follow. My training course is fully accredited and associated with the Manchester College of Coaching and Hypnotherapy. With no-nonsense, straight to the point training, I want to guide you to the path you need to take to achieve your dreams and walk alongside you until you’re prepared to go it alone.

All my courses are fully accredited professional hypnotherapy training courses and, to put your mind at ease, the courses are validated by

Andy Griffiths Hypnotherapy Training

Take It From Those Who Know

I know, I know, I could just be another salesman trying to sell you a dream. But unlike some other hypnotherapy training providers (low blow, Andy, low blow), I have trained hundreds of therapists who were once preparing to take the leap, just like you. Watch some of my students tell you all about their experiences training in hypnotherapy with Piece of Mind.

It’s Over To You

The best way to decide to take the leap with certainty is to ask questions until your doubts have been answered. I’d love to hear from you if you’re keen to train in hypnotherapy to truly change your life and the lives of others.

People who’ve worked with Ian consistently say the same thing — he gets it in a way that goes beyond what most trainers can offer. He doesn’t just understand the subject. He understands people.

David

David Gowans

Training & Development

Tagline: He’s seen mental health crisis at its most acute. And he knows what actually helps.

David’s background is probably unlike anyone else you’ll meet in a mental health training room.

Twenty-three years on the frontline of emergency services first as a police officer, now as an HCPC-registered practising paramedic. He hasn’t studied stress, trauma and burnout from a distance. He’s carried them, in uniform, responding to people at the absolute worst moments of their lives. He understands the culture that makes asking for help feel like the hardest thing in the world because he’s lived inside that culture.

That frontline experience sits alongside his clinical practice as a qualified hypnotherapist and accredited EFT practitioner. David works with real people navigating real challenges every single week. What he brings to Piece of Mind Training isn’t theoretical. It’s current, grounded and built entirely from the inside out.

As part of the team, David delivers training, practises as a therapist and plays a key role in the development and direction of the organisation making sure that everything Piece of Mind produces is professionally rigorous and genuinely human.

David is responsible for development and ensures that Piece of Mind Training programmes are grounded in real-world application. Not what the textbook says should happen. What actually works when it matters.

Iona

Iona Russell

Growth & Partnerships

Tagline: She’s written the book. Literally.

Iona has spent more than twenty years working at the intersection of human potential and real-world impact — across psychology, coaching, education, broadcasting, the charitable sector and social policy, in both the UK and the USA.

She is a Master Positive Psychology Coach and twice bestselling author who has supported hundreds of people through coaching qualifications and worked alongside some of the most respected names in positive psychology and personal development. As a keynote speaker and leadership advisor, she helps organisations rethink what success and human flourishing actually look like.

But what drives Iona’s commitment to mental health work goes deeper than her professional background. She lost her brother to suicide. That experience — and everything it taught her about the gap between what people are going through and the support available to them — shapes everything she brings to Piece of Mind Training.

At Piece of Mind, Iona leads our partnerships, builds community impact and drives our growth across Scotland and beyond. She brings commercial insight, deep human understanding and a personal reason for being here that no CV can fully capture.

Ann

Ann Stewart

Head of Training

Tagline: The person who makes sure the learning delivers every time.

Ann has spent her career helping people make sense of the things that are weighing on them and finding a way forward when everything feels tough.

Her background is genuinely rare. A qualified teacher, certified hypnotherapist, coach and First Aid for Mental Health practitioner, Ann brings together an understanding of how people learn with a deep, practical knowledge of how people struggle. She still works directly with adults and young people every week supporting those experiencing anxiety, low confidence, emotional distress and the kind of quiet difficulties that don’t always have a name but make everyday life feel impossibly hard.

As a trainer, Ann knows that the best mental health training doesn’t just inform people, it changes how they see themselves and the people around them. She brings that belief into every session she delivers, whether she’s working with a room full of HR professionals or a team who’ve never talked about mental health at work before.

As a therapist, trainer, teacher and mum of three, Ann understands that most people are dealing with far more than anyone around them realises. That understanding is the foundation of everything she does.

At Piece of Mind Training, Ann leads on training quality and consistency, making sure that what we promise is what every learner experiences, every time.
