Two days of training in Edinburgh

We trained a group from a multinational organisation in a safety critical industry over two days in Edinburgh, alongside a second group at their offices in Norway. The focus was giving people the confidence to notice when a colleague is not themselves, and to start that conversation.
The results to date have been excellent, and we would be very happy to recommend Andy and Piece of Mind to other organisations looking for a trusted, consultative partner in this space.

Common questions from employers across Scotland
Do you really travel to Aberdeen and Inverness?
Yes. We deliver on site across Scotland. For the north of Scotland we plan training days so the travel works well, and we can run the same course online if that suits your team better.
How many people can attend one course?
Our half day course takes up to 16 people. For larger teams we run more than one session, often on the same day or across a week.
Is the training accredited?
Yes. Our Level 1, 2 and 3 courses are credit rated and recognised by Qualifications Scotland, with levels that are equivalent to the RQF in England. Delegates are assessed through role play scenarios, case studies and a multiple choice and short answer assessment, so their certificate shows they achieved the standard, not just that they attended. The certificate lasts three years.
How much does training cost outside Glasgow?
Prices start at £995 for a half day course for up to 12 people, or £1,250 for up to 16. Book a free call and we will give you an exact price for your team, including any travel. See our guide to mental health first aid training costs for what should be included.
Can the training be delivered online?
Yes. Every course can run online, which suits organisations with small teams in several parts of Scotland.
Can the training be done online?
Yes. Every level can be delivered fully online or fully in person. We do not mix the two, with some people in the room and others on screen, because neither group gets the experience they need.
Which level does our team need?
Anyone can take any level. The right one depends on the role someone will take on and how your organisation wants to use them, not on how senior they are. People can start at Level 1 and move up. If you are not sure, book a free call and we will work it out with you.
Do you run refresher training?
Yes. The certificate lasts three years, and we strongly recommend a short refresher every year so the skills stay fresh. We can run refresher training for your first aiders.
Training a team elsewhere in Scotland?
Tell us about your people and what is going on. We will suggest the right course and give you a clear price.
